2017 Fall Cooking Classes

Mora Italian Guest Chef event! Thursday, September 21st 6:30pm-9:00pm $115
One of the hottest Italian restaurants is coming to Love'n the Kitchen to kick-off our Fall session! Join executive chef, Matt Taylor, who represents Scott Conant's inspired dishes, for an unforgettable evening of food and fun! It's the last day of Summer, and Fall is upon us, so expect the best of both worlds. Heirloom Melons with Mint, Pistachios and Foie Gras; Lobster Mushroom Bolognese featuring Cavatelli, Black Truffles and Rosemary Breadcrumbs; Coconut Panna Cotta with Guava Soup, Pineapple, Opal Basil and Fresno Chilis!

Fabulous Flavors of Fall Monday, October 2nd 11:00am-1:30 pm $75
Yay—Fall has arrived! Time to break out the sweaters and make some chili…..not so fast, it might still be triple digits! We can pretend though, and eventually the temps will drop. Just the aroma of cinnamon, pumpkin and cranberries can put us in the coziest mood. Pumpkin soup with a green chile swirl will delight your taste buds. Now that we are warm inside, let's enjoy a cranberry and brussels sprout salad with quinoa—served in a mini pumpkin with apple cider and orange vinaigrette —super cute and healthy too! Our entree features butternut squash, parsley and garlic in a penne toss. We return to pumpkin for a melt in your mouth treat: Pumpkin Donut holes that are baked, not fried, then tossed in cinnamon sugar. These are sure to be your new family favorite for breakfast or dessert!

Justin Beckett is back! Thursday, October 12th 6:30pm-9:00pm $115
Last Fall we met Chef Beckett—one of the Valley's best, and he was a hit! This time, he is showcasing not only Beckett's Table, but his other concept: Southern Rail. Join us for a tantalizing night of signature dishes from both restaurants. Justin will mix it up, and it will be up to us to guess which restaurant each dish comes from. There will be a prize for which guest knows Beckett best. Your assignment between now and then will be to visit each, so that you will be prepared for victory. You will all be "winners" though, as our tummies will be doing a happy dance either way!

A Night in Hawaii, featuring Mako Segawa Monday, October 16th 6:30pm-9:00pm $110
Aloha! If you did not get to Hawaii this Summer, we are bringing the Islands to you! Chef Mako Segawa is the Chef Partner of Roy Yamaguchi of Roy's Restaurant, and are we in for a treat! Chef Mako begins our adventure with a Pupu platter with ribs, dim sum and a few other surprises before we move onto Poke bowls, surf and turf style! One features beef and veggies with an accompanying sauce, which the other is a traditional Tuna Poke. As the sun sets on Mako's culinary adventure with us, we will delight while savoring Coconut Rice pudding and more…Mahalo!

Christmas Dinner Party! Tuesday, October 31st 11:00am-1:30 pm $80
Come to this class to learn how to have an ideal Holiday menu with appetizer, soup/salad, entree, side and dessert, as well as an edible party favor for your guests.

Guest Chef event with Ron Dimas Monday, November 6th 6:30pm-9:00pm $115
You know Chef Dimas is a Steak expert, as he reigns over the kitchen at Orange Sky—but tonight we prepare for Harvest and Thanksgiving with this Native American inspired Feast: Platters of seasonal Appetizers and dips; Duck and Wild Rice Cakes; Festive Fall salad with fruit and nuts; Braised Buffalo Short ribs with Pima Polenta. We will already be brimming with gratitude and fullness, but he's not done yet: Blue Corn Waffles with Pine Nut Praline Ice Cream sends us out the door with a smile.

Food Network's Robin Miller: Healthy Holidays Thursday, November 9th 11:00am-1:30 pm $85
The excitement is building as the Holidays are upon us! Thank goodness Chef, Nutritionist/Author Robin Miller is here to help us get ready to devour all the trimmings of the season without gaining too much weight in the process. Robin is taking some classic Holiday dishes and lightening them up: For Thanksgiving sides, let's have Balsamic Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Blue Cheese and toasted Pecans, or Garlic Smashed Potato Coins. With Christmas morning in mind, this year we are making Breakfast Strata with Caramelized Shallots and Sundried Tomatoes before we dig into a breakfast wreath with Cranberry-Almond filling. 'Tis the season for entertaining, so let's serve Grilled Chicken Skews with Peanut Sauce, and maybe Roasted Mini Peppers stuffed with Artichoke dip. Let's ring in 2018 in a guilt-free way!

Holiday Appetizers and Elegant Desserts Tuesday, November 28th 11:00am-1:30 pm $80
Attend this class is you enjoy small bites, presented with ease and elegance! We will teach hot and cold, heavy and lite hors d'oeuvres, as well as mini desserts—sure to impress!
If doing this class in conjunction with Oct 31st, then the price is reduced to $150 for both.

Holly Jolly Christmas Friday, December 1st 11:00am-1:30 pm $80
Friends and Family are coming on Christmas Eve through the next day, and you want to be prepared--and not frazzled. Start out by making an elegant, yet easy to prep ahead: Award Winning Chicken and Vegetable Wild Rice Soup with a twist. Let it simmer while your guests arrive at different times. Santa LOVES bacon and chocolate, so let's make him an irresistible cookie to enjoy when he stops by. Now it's time to finish last minute gift wrapping, and Lobster-Tarragon on Puff Pastry is the perfect way to feel extra special. Enjoy the sparkle of a Cranberry Spritzer while treating loved ones to a spectacular Pear and Pecan Dutch Baby Pancake—Merry Christmas to all!
